FWIW if you or anyone else building in gov need funding to get stuff off the ground there are plenty of DC-based VCs that are phenomenal, mission oriented and take big swings like this all the time.
You are the one cherry picking perhaps the first two charts. Look at the various metrics at the end in the Zstd vs Pandoc charts. There is just no clear advantage for Python across those metrics which are the one you really want to know about! If anything F# seems like a better top of the line language?!

No, it eliminates the grade and GPA award for excelling. You can still excel, unless you absolutely require external validation for your work. And even then, it's still college, professors notice top performers even if they aren't giving them an A+++++ and have to give them a Pass instead.
Plus on top of that 1st and 2nd order can be correct, but then the price is too high, meaning people lose money even if correct about the future, but over pay for it.
Digital might be a better place to start these days with all of the cheap components you can buy and some of the fun things you can build with digital electronics? Not my kid, but I brought a kid in my family a pack of cheap components and we built things together based on his interest and creativity.
I'd probably just buy a pack of components and build stuff with them like a lego set. Anything you build will present an opportunity to talk concepts like voltage, current, etc. I guess if they're nine you might be able to cover some of the basic math too.

LLMs are absolutely full of garbage advice, when I try to use it for troubleshooting. However, people who don't know anything about cars are telling me it helped them fix issues. I am assuming their issues were maybe surface level and something I would just know without even looking at any manuals, because when I use it for complex problems it just doesn't work for me.

That's not the same as everyone campaigning on a local issue who puts "environmental issues" into their big list of why some local development shouldn't happen: most of those people aren't associated with the environmental movement at all.
I guess my point is that I think the problem is nimbies, not environmentalists, and since I think we need a faster and cheaper planning system in the UK I think it's important to identify the actual problem. I think they mean it like this: imagine you ask me a random number sequence. I give you a random number sequence. Little did you know, I used a very specific PRNG to generate it, so later I can prove with certainty that your number was generated by me, and you can't say you came up with it yourself.
There is no room for false positive here in the same way you can't randomly find a collision in a hash function if it's strong enough. Like the rate is so infinitesimal that it is effectively zero.
Now replace random number sequence with prompted string of words. And instead of using the PRNG on every word I use it every n words. If the generated text is sufficiently long I can tell by matching the expected deterministic pattern.
You can defeat it by changing the words yourself and triggering a false negative but there isn't really any room for a false positive if the text is long enough and the pattern matches perfectly. If the pattern doesn't match then I can compute a probability.
I’ve been using Kagi for about a year now and I genuinely get worried that there are no alternatives if it goes out of business. The results are extremely good, especially in the last 4 months. I like their opt in AI summary as well, just add a question mark at the end.
