API prices are amazing, but hosting this on-premise will be real challenge.

I've switched from Python to Go + HTMX recently. It's a really nice combo, fast, efficient, and easy to maintain. HTMX should be part of the HTML spec.

From my first tests today, it is a workhouse. It can scan my whole code base, optimize every part, with a greater level of autonomy than other tools. This is insane, we are living at the best time.

The literal worst time. I prefer meritocracies.

No I think aristocrats are using llms to justify the flattening of wages, where they can use it as an excuse diminish the value of merit based systems.. Meritocracy / education was one of the few ways someone from a lower class couod climb the ladder and they're trying to destroy that ladder.

Then that's a tirade against capitalism - don't direct it at AI. If you don't like the situation, push for socialist policies.

It reminds me of the time where I deployed Gitea for self-hosting my git projects. In the end, nobody wanted to use it beyond myself. I would love to have a true federation protocol for Git, to decentralize the solution further.

I think there are a few options coming around federation of repos - like extension of forgejo, and then there's a newish player called Tangled i think, etc. I'm no expert, but that is something i would like as well...and i'm pretty sure that we are not alone in that desire.

I'm glad we have another player remaining in the competition. More competition means lower price and more quota for us (hopefully).

It takes time and effort to build such benchmark. It works at Databricks scale, I'm not sure smaller companies are ready to invest on internal benchmarks.

But they are more vendor neutral, now they don't sell their own model. It's interesting from a benchmark point of view.

I wonder how Mistral will prioritize its robotic development against its LLM development. We have either players that prioritize both (Google, AMI), or players that prioritize coding and agentic (OpenAI, Anthropic, ...).
