One reason this is potentially important- AI is now the editor. We're going to see a lot less WYSIWIG editors and more "move it under the other box and show a diagram of how the two systems work together to the right of that"
Autocad, Adobe, everything can be replaced with text prompts. We only need the final view, not the "editor" part.
I think AI is a contributor, but really it's interest rates. Valuations were previously high when money was cheap. Money is no longer cheap, and won't be for the foreseeable future. Therefore, valuations have compressed, it's time to call it quits, and so you'll see a lot of deal M&A as these economic investment decisions are made.
The "SaaSpocalypse" is really AI providing cover for "our valuations and multiples previously based on zero interest rate policy are severely impaired, and it's time to unload to sophisticated investors to get liquid." Very similar to how AI is being used as cover for labor efficiency measures like operating with a bare bones crew, offshoring to India and LATAM, etc.
If your business or investment is interest rate sensitive, you're gonna have a bad time. And interest rates, based on yield curves and the bond market, are fairly likely to continue to go up.
(a component of my work is due diligence for tech M&A)
At some point Flock will be drones that fly for 30 minutes, get a replacement drone in its place, and the 30 minute one will land, automatically swap batteries and take off again and get into a different zone.
I guess the next area of active development will be turf spotting plugins for your browser to actively flag users that are engagement farming in off season and black pilling on season.
We're either propagandized by reading the news or watching it on TV OR we're holed up in a confirmation biased world by social media (which is also propagandized).
Being able to afford remodeling your house is one thing, but being able to get permission to remodel your house can be a far more difficult proposition.
I feel bad. I posted a negative comment (under a different user name) one of the other times this was posted. I was in a bad spot in my life - still am, but I'm getting better.
Your only human (i think), it happens to all of us at least some of the time. If your willing to acknowledge and admit it then your already doing better than most. In addition to giving yourself a break we should all try to give others a break because you never really know what a stranger could be dealing with.
Hahaha, yeah. It tells you about my age group for sure. But there are some new titles like RV Together that are pretty good too. We just don't have a ton of bandwidth to try new stuff too since it's usually 1 night every 2-4 months :-)
I used to be a prepper, but have decided that moving remote is the only thing I'm willing to do anymore. If the world's population really does drop 99% from something, the person that kills me will be me. Totally hoping something like that doesn't happen.
